Ohio is home to many fantastically festive events and sights every holiday season.

If you live in one of our Ohio communities, you'll find no shortage of things to do with your family and friends to celebrate the holidays. Create lasting holiday memories by attending these events in Ohio.

Ohio Holiday Lights Trail

Everyone loves to see things lit up over the holiday season, and Ohio is filled with some of the most beautiful light displays. This year, TourismOhio has organized a trail all over the state that features 30 public light displays. These can be found in all corners of the state, from Toledo near our Waterstone Landing community, to Cincinnati – just minutes from our Tall Timber community – and everywhere in between.

WinterFest at Kings Island

Watch ice carvers demonstrate their talent, skate on the Royal Fountain, decorate cookies, and take a carriage ride, all at WinterFest at Kings Island. There's also an artisan market, lots of great shows, and rides to enjoy. Don't forget to walk down Candy Cane Lane, wander around Tinsel Town, and spend an evening at Coca-Cola Polar Bear Plaza. Residents at Deerfield Crossing are just 12 minutes from this incredible festival, which runs until December 31st!

The Steubenville Nutcracker Village & Advent Market

Not far from our Sandhurst Apartments is this magical village, which happens to have the world's largest collection of life-size nutcrackers. Walk through the village to see 150 of these incredible works of art, including some in the likeness of Frank Sinatra, Jack Frost, Scarlett O'Hara, Slash, and the Little Drummer Boy! Don't forget to stop by the Advent Market for some unique holiday gifts crafted by local artisans.

North Pole Express

Jump on a train and take a ride to the North Pole! Of course, you're not actually headed to the North Pole, but the North Pole Express makes it feel like you are, with its lights, decorations and special guests – Santa Claus and his elves! Enjoy a complimentary cookie and hot chocolate, plus a souvenir mug for every passenger aboard. Children will also receive a souvenir train ticket to commemorate this exciting experience. The Express runs throughout December, but you do have to register in advance to attend this event.
