Spring is the best season to really enjoy Charlotte and all that it has to offer.
It's a season of greenery, sunshine, and festivals. If you're a resident at The Landings at Steele Creek, or hoping to move here in the future, these are the best things to do in Charlotte in the spring.
Enjoy Some Auto Racing
Take in some high-speed fun watching NASCAR drivers whiz around the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the annual Coca-Cola 600. Part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, this massive 600 mile race is the longest of all NASCAR races. Watch the action Memorial Day weekend on Sunday, May 26th.
Walk Along the Rail Trail
Take in the refreshing spring weather walking along the Charlotte Rail Trail. The 3.5 mile trail runs along the city's Blue Line from LoSo to North End, with gardens, unique outdoor spaces, public art, and places to eat and drink along the way. It's a fantastic way to enjoy a beautiful spring day.
Go to a Ball Game
The Charlotte Knights are a Triple-A International League team and affiliated with the Chicago White Sox. Watching them play at the BB&T Ballpark is always a good time. The ball park is just 20 minutes from The Landings at Steele Creek, so you may want to consider purchasing the Ten-Game Experience package if you don't want to miss a second of the action this season.
There's no shortage of places to tee up in Charlotte, making it a haven for golfers. In fact, people from all over the country come to Charlotte for the city's incredible golf courses, both public and private. The Golf Club at Ballantyne is the closest public course to The Landings at Steele Creek, while the Carolina Golf Club is the closest private club.
Experience a Taste of Charlotte
Taste of Charlotte is a three day festival that runs this year from June 7th to 9th. Indulge in dozens of delicious food and drink samples from local restaurants while enjoying live music and entertainment all weekend long. Admission is free, and festival coins for food and activities can be picked up or purchased on-site.
